What is the CAQ_1 hydraulic crane basket used for?

The CAQ_1 crane basket was designed by SOLTEC engineers for use on hydraulic cranes. Its compact and lightweight design makes it ideal for lifting a single operator while providing an excellent balance of ease of use, durability, and low weight.

Moreover, the basket features a lightweight aluminum cage and a press-formed painted steel boom for strength and durability. In addition, a wide front entrance with a sliding aluminum bar ensures easy and safe operator access.

Furthermore, the aluminum cage is securely fixed to the steel boom, creating a robust structure for hydraulic cranes. As a result, depending on the crane configuration and installation, the basket can reach an operating tilt angle of up to approximately 87°.

How do you install the basket for a single-seat crane?

The perforated plate welded to the boom must be connected to the crane’s outermost extension usinga special mounting bracket

for operator baskets, which is not included with the product. Since every crane is different, each mounting bracket is custom-made according to the crane model, the diameter of the boom sections, and the equipment configuration.

Additionally, upon request, SOLTEC can supply the adaptation after verifying the crane’s technical compatibility.

Can I install the basket on my crane?

First, verify the crane’s remaining jib capacity and the overall compatibility of the setup before using the platform.

Next, make sure the crane provides an available load capacity of at least 350 kg at peak load.

However, if the available load capacity is lower, you should instead choose an alternative solution or a different basket model.

Designed for small and medium-sized cranes, the single-operator crane basket safely lifts one operator. Final suitability must always be verified based on the crane, load capacity, installation, and operating conditions.

How do you level a crane basket?

The CAQ_1 uses a gravity piston to level the basket. When the operator opens the piston valve, gravity automatically levels the basket. Closing the valve stops the leveling process and keeps the platform stable during operation.

Upon request, the solenoid valve can be installedon the piston to make leveling easier, depending on the vehicle’s configuration.

What are the main regulations my basket must comply with?
