The Soltec cross-beam sling for Big Bags is a lifting beam designed to handle industrial big bags in a stable and controlled manner using cranes, mobile cranes, or overhead cranes.

The four-arm design allows you to attach the four lifting loops on the Big Bag simultaneously, distributing the load across the various lifting points and keeping the Big Bag properly open during lifting.

S275JR steel structure

The crossbar is made of S275JR structural steel, a material suitable for the manufacture of under-hook equipment intended for professional use.

Before use, you must verify that the dimensions of the crane hook are compatible with those of the upper eye.

Four hooks for attaching the Big Bag

MYX sling hooks are installed at the ends of the four arms, designed to make it easier to attach the loops on the bulk bag.

Each hook features:

• nominal capacity of 1.12 metric tons;
• 22 mm effective opening;
• a structure welded directly to the ends of the crossbar;
• Configuration suitable for connecting the four loops on the Big Bag.

However, the total capacity of the equipment remains limited to the maximum rated load of 3,000 kg and does not equal the sum of the rated loads of the individual hooks.

Center eyelet for connecting to the crane

The upper lifting point is located at the center of the structure to ensure proper load balance during handling.

The slot measures 110 × 60 mm and allows connection to the lifting device’s hook, provided that the hook is compatible with the geometry, thickness, and dimensions of the anchor point.

What materials can it handle?

How to Use the Big Bag Scale

Before beginning the handling process, you must:

• verify the actual weight of the material contained in the bulk bag;
• Check that the load does not exceed 3,000 kg;
• make sure the Big Bag is suitable for lifting;
• connect all four slots correctly;
• Check that the hooks and the structure are intact;
• Check that the crane hook is compatible with the center eye;
• Perform a slow initial lift to check the load’s balance.

The load must be lifted vertically, avoiding sudden jerks, swaying, dragging, and diagonal pulls.
