How the Single-Seat Iron Basket Works

SOLTEC designed the CFQ_1 single-seat iron basket to provide a compact, sturdy, and easy-to-use solution. The press-formed arm supports the iron cage, creating a stable and durable structure.

Furthermore, the SOLTEC design allows the basket to tilt up to 87°, providing greater flexibility during operation on hydraulic cranes.

Application on a hydraulic crane

A custom spigot joint connects the perforated plate welded to the press-formed arm with the crane’s outermost extension. SOLTEC supplies the spigot joint separately because every crane requires a custom solution based on the boom geometry and mounting configuration.

In addition, SOLTEC can supply the lifting frame upon request after completing a technical review. Before installation, always verify the compatibility of the basket, the crane, and the intended operating configuration.

Capacity and Compatibility of the Single-Seat Iron Basket

When installing the CFQ_1 single-seat iron basket, you must verify that the crane has sufficient residual lifting capacity at the jib tip. As a general guideline, a minimum lifting capacity of at least 350 kg is recommended for this model.

The lifting capacity must always be verified based on the crane’s load chart, the working radius, the mounting configuration, and the sling configuration used.

Gravity-fed leveling with a piston

The basket is leveled using a gravity-operated piston. By opening the piston valve, the basket can level itself under the force of gravity. Once the correct position is reached, the operator can close the valve to lock the basket in place and work with stability.

The CFQ_1 basket is designed to be configured in accordance with the applicable requirements of EN 280:2022, depending on the intended use, the crane it is paired with, the mounting configuration, and any required safety devices.
